10 foot and humans

The 10 foot were dangerous. They were feared. Some of them liked human women. Some human women liked them. Not many.

The humans were not 10 feet tall. But they had traps. A human could not break the trap, unless they were abnormally fat or tall. But a 10 foot would break through and crash down into the pit or spikes or water below. Humans generally agreed that the traps were a good idea. The 10 foot liked human women.

Less commonly agreed upon was the other details. For example, what should go in the trap? Should they kill the 10 foot? Should they interrogate them to determine their intentions? Should they release them? Should they attempt to enslave them? Should they ever journey on, only using the traps as warnings as to where the 10 foot roamed?

In addition, it wasn't clear at all that the humans were in agreement as to why the 10 foot liking human women was a bad thing. Some claimed a possessiveness around human women that seemed as bent on controlling the women as protecting them. Some considered it a consent issue, perhaps even for both parties, something the 10 foot had never been seen considering. Some saw it as an affront to the natural order, the way a human shagging a dog would be viewed.

So that was the way of things. Humans. 10 foot. Traps.
